What We Know…
Made of lightning and wielding the gift of being able to ignite new sparks, Aemzash is able to decide the temperature of an area or any living being. They can wield lightning or freeze something solid. They can also start fires or snuff them out.
Aemzash is wielded by Life across the realms, but their presence, which keeps the balance of temperature in worlds, is missing. Sparks can feel her absence, causing some to fade out or burst without her care.
Aemzash represents the Metis people of South America who are able to handle electric eels with their bare hands. She is a physically strong woman who calls lightning the way electric eels do: by tensing her muscles in a special way.
Her pronouns are she/they.
Their special item is their beads that hang across their chest.
Her colors are oranges of all kinds.
Her adornments resemble the women of the Metis people, and are colored like electric eels. Similar to eels, Aemzash’s origins are a mystery she keeps to herself.
The Metis people are dealing with the destruction of their lands by industrialization and colonization. Aemzash represents them as a way to honor these indigenous people and bring focus to the destruction of their way of life and land. Their way of life has kept their lands in balance for millennia, living as we all should be - in community with nature.
