Hohashi

Primordial Celestial of Sustenance

What We Know…

Made of fruits, roots and vegetables, Hohashi is the deity of festivals, and the incarnation of gardens and harvests. They came to life after the hatching of Ithala as a representation of life’s need to eat and feast.

Known for their cooking and brewing skills, Hohashi’s spice is felt anytime someone takes a bite, sips on a drink, or cooks a meal. Even snacks bring about a spark to those who partake. They love all things that bring safe pleasure and joy to life, and they love to celebrate all aspects of life and love.

Known as companion to Saia, life celebrates Hohashi anytime they have a meal together or put on a festival or celebration within their community. Through their care for each other and uplifting of life, Hohashi’s presence fills them and the space with spices, herbs, fruits, vegetables, edible mushrooms and roots.

Life also often honors Hohashi through teas and ginger bug sodas.

Their pronouns are they/them, and they identify as genderfluid.
