Quest Introduction

After being pulled through a portal, a group of Zhairii find themselves following a purple path through an ever-growing forest of mushrooms. As they travel, the forest gives them chills as it is frozen in silence. The group soon finds themselves in a small marketplace where every building is made from mushrooms or a giant one hollowed out. The crunch of the forest floor under their limbs echoes around them.

As they venture forward, they begin to find statues all around them, frozen in fear. They seemed to have been running from something, but were frozen in place as crystalline statues.

SUDDENLY, they hear a shout in the distance. They take off toward the voice who obviously needs help. There is a deep sadness within that voice that calls them closer. They arrive at a hollow at the bottom of a willow tree that reaches beyond the clouds. Inside, they see someone in a wheelchair surrounded by ripped books, broken crystals, and their head hangs heavy in their hands.
